What to Expect at Dazzling G.E.M.S.

A walkthrough of a typical month in our program.

The Heart of It

Every girl who walks through our doors is already a gem. She is not raw material we are shaping into something valuable. She already is valuable. Our job is to hold up the light so she can see it for herself.

Focus and Flourish Fridays

We meet the first Friday of every month from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Girls are grouped by age into three teaching levels, and each group works through curriculum built for where she is developmentally.

During the Month

Girls complete take home workbook pages that reinforce what was taught. Parents confirm completion before the next Focus and Flourish Friday, and certificates are issued after that confirmation. The at home pages are also a natural conversation starter between you and your daughter.

Crowned As I Am

Every girl belongs here. Crowned As I Am is our commitment to girls who learn, process, and engage differently. You do not need a diagnosis or paperwork to ask for an accommodation. Demetria Collins serves as our Inclusion and Family Support Coordinator so that no parent has to wonder whether her daughter will be accommodated.

A Word About Faith

Dazzling G.E.M.S. is a faith based organization with an open door. We will never pressure your daughter to adopt our beliefs, attend our church, or change her faith or yours. Girls of every background are welcome here and always will be.

What It Costs

Dazzling G.E.M.S. is a nonprofit, not a business. The small monthly membership is not how we sustain ourselves, and it is never meant to be a barrier. It helps cover a portion of each girl's materials and workbook, and it invites families to invest in what their daughter is part of. Our programs are carried by donors, sponsors, community partners, and sales from our merchandise shop, which is how we keep the fee this low and waive it completely whenever a family needs us to.

5 dollars per month, or 60 dollars per year, which covers Focus and Flourish Fridays, materials, and her workbook. Sister discounts are available. No girl is turned away for inability to pay.
